Design is centered on us
I think we are living in an age when design has more to do with us, with humans, than its simple aesthetic. We’re working on two web projects now that began, not with what we can do, what technologies are available to us, but rather with a question about how users want to interact with the company behind the web site, or can technology help users do what they want to do.
Here’s an interesting presentation from the Feb 2002 TED conference by David Kelley, founder of IDEO.
