I’m no environmentalist, but “An Inconvenient Truth” helped me begin to understand how devastating the impact of global warming is and will be. As I watched the film, I had the sense, however, that this was more presentation than film, and many of Gore’s techniques reminded me of “Keynote,” Apple’s PowerPoint killer for the Mac OS.

I can make my presentations better, I remember thinking to myself. I’m trying.
