A doctor who makes house calls?
The Charleston Mercury, Charleston’s right wing, alternative newspaper (must be because of Betty’s politics; it’s certainly not mine) carries a story about Leslie Pelzer, a physician who has changed her practice recently. “Like all doctors, Leslie Pelzer wants to make a difference for her patients. Whether it is house calls, insurance-free practices or concierge medicine (a yearly fee for unlimited visits), she like more and more physicians around the country has found a proactive solution…. She is fighting back against the same twisted system of insurance companies and government reimbursements about which everyone else in the medical community is complaining while being seemingly unable to do anything change it.”
Those of you who know me also know that I believe healthcare is one of the big three problems America and American business must address and solve. Anytime I see change and action, I’m encouraged.
I wish I were encouraged more often.
What’s your idea?
