Some of the obits for Kurt Vonnegut were quite good, especially one on PBS’s News Hour, which was followed by a discussion featuring Alan Cheuse and Christopher Buckley. Cheuse was among several who recalled Vonnegut’s own wishes for an epitaph.

“If I should ever die, God forbid,” Vonnegut wrote in A Man Without a Country, “let this be my epitaph: ‘The only proof that he needed for the existence of God is music.’”

You can find the News Hour piece by clicking on the link above or on the iTunes Music Store, in the “podcast” section.
