Vonnegut’s famous phrase from Slaughterhouse Five comes to life again in a collaboration between Roseanne Cash and Joe Henry.

NYTimes has been publishing an interesting series on songwriting by four artists: Cash, Suzanne Vega, Darrell Brown and Andrew Bird. (I’ve posted a couple of times about Andrew Bird. Here and here.)

This entry from Roseanne Cash may be the most interesting because she writes about how she and Henry collaborated on “So it goes,” the back and forths. Give it a look, and please listen to the song bit on the first page.
