Celtic Pride
The Boston Celtics are relevant again and for that the NBA and I are grateful. I know two people who consistently have watched the NBA since Jordan retired both times, my in-laws. Other than that can you honestly say the NBA has meant anything to you? Probably not. But by the grace of god the Celtics and the Lakers are playing for the NBA title this June and most likely you’ll be watching and for that ABC and David Stern are very happy.
1987 was the last time the Celtics played in the finals, I was in second grade. So 21 years later the best teams this year and of all time will meet again for the championship. Cue the replays of when basketball was great. Bird, Magic, McHale, Kareem, The Chief. We will probably see McHale clotheslining Kurt Rambus in game 4 of the ‘84 Finals. We’ll hear all about BEAT LA and learn about the Parquet Floor and Red’s victory cigars. The NBA is back and is far more interesting with these two franchises playing each other thanks to the history each brings with them.

Go Celtics.
