Today’s proof? Da Vinci’s The Last Supper is now online in glorious form. In 16 billion pixels - that’s 10x a photo taken with a good digital camera - the site allows us to scale the painting, inspect the details, the corners, the faces, the subtleties.

I’ll never get this close to that actual painting when I visit Italy next year. You have to see this.
