A new hotel model for travelers
While in Greensboro this week, I stayed in a different hotel, the Hyatt Place. (Here’s a link to learn more about it.) “Free wi-fi, flat screen TV,” etc., they say in their promotion.
For someone like me, it sounds perfect. Right down to the little extras not even I would have thought of.
For instance, take a look at this panel. It allows you to make the 40″ TV in the room a display screen for your computer, plug in for sound and much more. Hell, it’s an entertainment wall.
The upholstery, the work desk, the size of the room, the shower and bath area - all are intelligently laid out for the one-to-two-night trip.
My own experience left a bit to be desired. The Hyatt Place in which I stayed was still in renovation, and last night - after a long day of meetings - the wireless was down (still down this morning).
So, okay, it’s a work in progress. But one with potential.
