Living vicariously
Seven weeks ago my younger son started his first season of coaches pitch baseball. A big step for a kid fresh out of T-ball. I wasn’t sure he was ready, but like anything worth doing, he jumped into untested waters with determination and gave it his best every game. The Reds were lucky enough to have great coaches who taught how important real teamwork is. And how when you work hard but remember to have fun too, you can achieve a lot. Like going undefeated and winning the league championship. Those are lessons I try to keep in mind here at Burris. I’m thankful for what will surely be the first of many opportunities to live vicariously through my sons. (That’s Ben, front row, far right.)
For the entire season you’ve been leading us to this moment. In the glow of victory’s thrill, Ben and his dad both shine.
Thanks for sharing.
