I’m usually pretty skeptical about adaptations of children’s books. First I ask, “why?”, followed by, “why did you make it such a terrible movie?” This one, though, looks like it just might be great. I hope I didn’t just jinx it. (Spike Jonze directs, music by Arcade Fire, among other indie darlings.)
