I’m a big believer in automation. Calculators instead of multiplication tables: faster and often more accurate.
Same might be said for advertising. Use science where it’s most effective so that we can spend more of our time on the art of the idea and message.
PlaceLocal uses the web to create ads for the web. It’s a pretty cool approach, and it lays bare the notion that intelligent gnomes are working behind the curtain. It’s actually software scanning the web.
